Pamir Mountain Range Pakistan
The Pamir Mountains, also known as “Roof of the World”
in Vcitorian times and in chinese by the name Congling (Onion
Mountain), are actaully formed by the junction of the three other
ranges which are Hindu kush, Karakoram and Tian Shan. Pamir mountain
range lie in Kyrgyzstan, China, Afghanstan and Northern Areas of
Pakistan.
Ismoil Somoni Peak, Ibn Sina Peak and Peak Korzhenevskaya are the three highest peaks found to be in Pamir Mountains. It is also the home of the longest glacier outside the Polar Region known as “Fedchenko Glacier.”
The Karakoram Highway, at the southeastern edge of the Pamir region in China is the highest international highway in the world and connects Pakistan to China
